In The Darkest Night (2009)

Saxophone duet with piano accompaniment. A waltz-like, jazz-influenced duet for alto and tenor saxophones. In The Darkest Night symbolizes the contrast between night and day or darkness and light. There are two main themes that represent this contrast. The “night” or “dark” theme represents a trial or low point in life while the contrasting “day” or “light” theme represents either being pulled out of that darkness or overcoming hardship, fear, or regret.
